Things I'm finding interesting this week...

Modern Apologetics: Learning to Paint - Here's a recent article by one of my favorite dudes, John Armstrong. The article is definitely worth the read.

FMLN Party Wins El Salvador Election - Mauricio Funes of the Farbundo Marti National Liberation Front party won the presidential election this past weekend. FMLN is the communist party in El Salvador and has been jocking for political power ever since the 12-year war that ended 17 years ago with 75,000 El Salvadorians dead. As one who frequently travels to El Salvador with SOS Ministries and as one who has many friends living in El Salvador, I'm wondering if traveling in and out of the country will become more difficult.

Time's New Calvinism - I already blogged about this last week, but it's still on my mind. Also, Mark Driscoll's response to Time's New Calvinism - Pt. 1 and Pt. 2

Ron Paul on Marijuana - Well, he's not really...but he did dialogue with faith-based conservative, and actor, Stephen Baldwin about the legalization of marijuana. It's no secret, I'm a big Ron Paul fan/supporter. I have to say, I agree with his objections on this issue too. Let the states decide.

Obama Ends Stem Cell Funding Ban - This week, President Obama rescinded an executive order that prohibited the use of federal funds for stem cell research. Here's Relevants's The Stem Cell Question.

Nightline's Face-Off -
Is America Addicted to Porn?
"Porn stars Ron Jeremy and Monique Alexander debate porn pastors Craig Gross and Donny Pauling. Is porn just another form of entertainment, or is it an addiction? Is porn dangerous or harmless?" I think Craig Gross does a good job! His heart for those enslaved with porn addictions is evident as is his confidence in the power of the Gospel to transform lives.

ABC's Kings, a modern-day twist on the story of King David, aired last night. Here's Revelant Magazine's overview. If you missed the first show, check it out here.
