Tyler Durden Wins Another...

Fight Club's Tyler Durden is King

Brad Pitt's role of Tyler Durden in Fight Club has been voted the Greatest Movie Character of All Time.

Back in October, Empire Magazine released their list of the 500 Greatest Movies of All Time. (I definitely disagree with their order and many of their picks…especially their top 50!!!) I noticed last week that Empire released their list of the 100 Greatest Movie Characters of All Time.

Pitt's character as Tyler Durden has beaten Star Wars' Darth Vader into second place to top the poll. Heath Ledger's character as the Joker in Batman movie The Dark Knight came third. Star Wars' Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, landed the fourth spot. Serial killer Hannibal Lecter, played by Sir Anthony Hopkins, in The Silence of the Lambs rounded off the top five. There are so many great characters to pick from! I think they did a pretty good job. Although, "Red" should be much higher up the list! And why does "Hans Gruber" make the top 25? What do you think?

I’m not going to reprint the entire list, but here are the top 25:

1. Tyler Durden (Fight Club)

2. Darth Vader (Star Wars trilogy)

3. The Joker (The Dark Knight)
