God's Big Picture
Tracing the Story-Line of the Bible

Vaughn Roberts has written a sweet little book entitled, God's Big Picture. He shows the reader how the Bible (from beginning to end) is about the Kingdom of God. I read this book years ago but I was recently reminded how great it is after teaching a Bible study on the story-line of the Bible a couple Wednesday nights ago. If you have ever wanted to know how the Bible fits together and how we should understand the various Bible stories, prophecies, and writings, God's Big Picture is the book for you!

Here's a blurb on the book from the publisher:
Sixty-six books written by forty people over nearly 2,000 years, in two languages and several different genres. A worldwide bestseller published in countless sizes and bindings, translations and languages. Sworn by in court, fought over by religious people, quoted in arguments.

The Bible is clearly no ordinary book.
How can you begin to read and understand it as a whole?

In this excellent overview, Vaughan Roberts gives you the big picture--showing how the different parts of the Bible fit together under the theme of the kingdom of God. He provides both the encouragement and the tools to help you read the Bible with confidence and understanding. And he points you to the Bible's supreme subject, Jesus Christ, and the salvation God offers through him.

This book is supper easy to read and it's not very big. Roberts is concise and to the point! I recommend it for all ages and it's a great book to go through in a small group or with your kids because there are discussion questions at the end of each chapter.
